Actor Akshay Kumar has served a defamation notice to a YouTuber from Bihar, seeking ₹ 500 crores in damages for making “false and baseless allegations” towards him in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case.
Akshay Kumar, in the legal notice despatched by way of law agency IC Legal on November 17, mentioned Rashid Siddiquee, in his YouTube channel FF News, has uploaded a number of defamatory, libelous, and derogatory movies towards him.
The Bollywood celebrity has sought an unconditional apology from the YouTuber, who has been booked by the Mumbai police in a separate defamation case and also removal of objectionable movies from his channel.
Our client (Akshay Kumar) states that due to your (Rashid Siddiquee’s) scandalous, defamatory and derogatory movies, he has suffered mental trauma agony and huge loss, together with lack of popularity and goodwill, which our client quantifies at ₹ 500 crore, the notice said.
The said movies make several false and baseless allegations towards our consumer (Akshay Kumar) that he helped (actor) Rhea Chakraborty abscond to Canada, that our client had secret conferences with (Maharashtra minister) Aaditya Thackeray and the Mumbai police Commissioner to debate the death case of Sushant Singh Rajput and so forth, the notice mentioned.
These videos are false, baseless, defamatory and have been deliberately revealed to mislead the public, and are just a low-cost publicity stunt, the legislation agency mentioned within the notice.
