The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) had earlier introduced the cancellation of class 10 exams and postponed class 12 exams in gentle to the worsening COVID-19 state of affairs within the nation.

The high-level meeting was chaired by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. Schooling ministers of states and union territories, training secretaries, and chairpersons of state examination boards additionally participated in the meeting.
