The minister has informed that he’ll attend a high-level meeting tomorrow, Might 23, together with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Ladies and Child Growth Minister Smriti Irani, and Prakash Javadekar, Union Minister of Data and Broadcasting.
Mr Pokhriyal has requested state schooling secretaries to attend the assembly and share their views on the upcoming examinations. “Hon’ble Prime Minister has desired that any choice affecting the careers of his beloved college students needs to be taken in broad consultations with all State Governments and stakeholders,” the minister stated. The digital assembly will happen at 11.30 am.
Entrance And Board Exams: What Happened So Far
Earlier this week, Mr Pokhriyal reviewed the COVID-19 situation with state education secretaries. In line with officers, the issue of pending Class 12 board exams was introduced up for dialogue and solutions have been sought from states in this regard.
The Central Board of Secondary Schooling (CBSE), the Council for the Indian Faculty Certificates Examinations (CISCE) and lots of state boards had earlier postponed Class 12 board exams and cancelled Class 10 exams.
A section of parents, students have asked for the cancellation of Class 12 exams as properly.
Petitions have been filed within the Supreme Court relating to Class 12 exams. One plea has requested the highest court for cancellation, whereas the opposite has stated exams must be performed for these students.
The Schooling Minister, in the earlier assembly, stated that despite the pandemic, the Centre and the states, as well as agencies just like the National Testing Agency (NTA), have managed to ship schooling online as well as to conduct public exams comparable to JEE and NEET-UG.
“Our efforts and commitment ensured continuance of education for 240 million students enrolled in our colleges and faculties. We’ve got been profitable in reworking our homes into classrooms in these unprecedented instances. We’ve got also set an instance of ensuring that no pupil faced a 12 months’ loss,” he said.
However, the April and Might sessions of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2021, which is held for Engineering admission, was postponed in view of the COVID-19 pandemic. Medical exam National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2021 for undergraduate college students is scheduled for August.
NEET PG has been postponed by the centre and try to increase the variety of medical personnel available to carry out COVID duties.
