Katie Price’s son Harvey, 18, goes to live in a residential college where trained professionals will assist him to live a more impartial life
Katie Price has made the heartbreaking decision to put her son Harvey, 18, into full-time care and a part of the reason is to keep him safe.
The former glamour girl, 42, has spent months scouting residential schools for {the teenager} and has picked one she hopes is the right choice for him.
On the center, Harvey shall be sorted by trained professionals who will assist him live a more impartial life.
Katie additionally hopes to dwell in the middle will defend her son, who suffers from autism and might get spooked by loud noises.
Harvey, who’s 6ft 2in and 28 stone, usually lashes out and diminutive Katie struggles to restrain him.
She fears that if he doesn’t go to college, he may have an outburst in public which may result in him being sectioned underneath the Mental Health Act.
Katie told The Sun: “You hear about people with autism being arrested and when they’re restrained they go mad and get sectioned.
“That is why I want to find the right school for him so if there’s ever a case where he kicks off, I am involved.
“I met a lady recently who has a son very similar to Harvey with autism. He was sectioned and it took her years to get him out.
“100 percent that will never occur to my Harv.”
She added that that is his “chance to dwell an independent life, study expertise,e and socialize with people apart from me.”
However, being separated from {the teenager} goes to be heart-wrenching for the mum-of-five.
She’s apprehensive about how Harvey will react when she is not there to comfort him when he wants her, but Katie says: “I must study to let go but it’s robust…”
Katie added: “We’ve got an incredible bond. I don’t know how Harvey will react or how he’ll really feel after I can’t get to him.
In addition to autism, Harvey additionally has indicators of Prader-Willi Syndrome and is partially blind.
He previously began at a residential school for 5 days every week, returning home at weekends, however returned to the family home full-time in March due to the coronavirus pandemic.
