Actor Mandira Bedi’s husband, filmmaker Raj Kaushal, has died at the age of 49. The writer-director-filmmaker passed away on Wednesday morning after a massive heart assault. Actor Rohit Roy confirmed the news, “Raj passed away this morning, around 4.30 am, he had a coronary heart assault. Rest in peace, my pal.” Bollywood veteran Anupam Kher paid tribute to Raj Kaushal with these phrases: “Deeply saddened and shocked to know in regards to the sudden demise of Raj Kaushal! A pal, a filmmaker, and a really positive man. Have some nice memories of working with him and spending time with him a few years again. Sorry, dearest Mandira Bedi and family for your irreparable loss.”

Mandira Bedi, I do not know what to say. Can’t imagine the way you and the kids are feeling proper now. I am so sorry.”

Raj Kaushal, who started his career as a copywriter, was best-known for directing Anthony Kaun Hai, Shaadi Ka Laddo (additionally featuring Mandira Bedi), and Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi. He was the producer of the 2005 movie My Brother…Nikhil. The movie, directed by Onir, starred Juhi Chawla and Sanjay Suri.
