Actor Mandira Bedi’s husband, filmmaker Raj Kaushal, has died at the age of 49. The writer-director-filmmaker passed away on Wednesday morning after a massive heart assault. Actor Rohit Roy confirmed the news, “Raj passed away this morning, around 4.30 am, he had a coronary heart assault. He was at home, by the point the family might get any medical help, Raj had gone.” He’s survived by his wife Mandira and children Vir and Tara.
His funeral took place on Wednesday afternoon at Shivaji Ground in Mumbai. Rohit’s brother, Ronit Roy, and actor Ashish Choudhary had been among those who paid their last respects to the filmmaker.
Rohit additionally posted an emotional note bidding goodbye to the filmmaker. “And just like that, he’s gone, even without saying goodbye. Too numb with grief and shock to react. This is not fair, just not fair,” he wrote.

Arshad Warsi, who labored with Raj Kaushal within the movie Anthony Kaun Hai, tweeted: “At this time I lost a really dear friend, my condolences to his family. Music composer-singer Vishal Dadlani, in his tweet, said that Raj Kaushal was “the primary person to trust me with making music for a movie.” He added, “Raj Kaushal created so many careers with, Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi Above that, he all the time stood with his associates. Raj Kaushal, who started his career as a copywriter, was best-known for directing Anthony Kaun Hai, Shaadi Ka Laddo (additionally featuring Mandira Bedi), and Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi. He was the producer of the 2005 movie My Brother…Nikhil. The movie, directed by Onir, starred Juhi Chawla and Sanjay Suri.
Raj Kaushal is survived by wife Mandira Bedi and two kids – son Vir, 10, and 4-year-old daughter Tara, who joined the family final year
