Tata group on Thursday launched presumably India’s first super app, rivaling comparable merchandise from Amazon and Walmart’s Flipkart.
In a social media post, Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran mentioned Tata Neu combines the standard consumer-first method of the group with the fashionable ethos of know-how.
India’s salt-to-steel conglomerate Tata Group’s new super app Tata Neu has gone dwell for users throughout India, providing a bouquet of providers like groceries, electronics, flight bookings, food supply, investments, resort bookings, and extra, all services housed under one roof. Tata Digital, the digital arm of the Tata Group, has been working for months to be able to launch this super app — which could be described as India’s first — in a bid to strengthen its presence in India’s burgeoning $ 55 billion e-commerce business. Through this app, the 154-year-old conglomerate has ventured into segments like funds, online food delivery, investments, and many more.
“It’s a Neu day at this time! Tata Digital, the youngest member of the Tata household, brings you, Tata Neu, at this time,” he wrote on LinkedIn.
He further said, “Tata Neu is an exciting platform that gathers all our brands into one powerful app. Combining our traditional consumer-first method with the modern ethos of know-how, it’s an all-new way to uncover the wonderful world of Tata.” Because the Tata Neu app goes dwell at this time, Chandrasekaran mentioned, “It makes me proud to see so a lot of our trusted and loved brands Air Asia, BigBasket, Croma, IHCL, Qmin, Starbucks, Tata 1Mg, Tata CLiQ, Tata Play, Westside on the Tata Neu platform already, and Vistara, Air India, Titan, Tanishq, Tata Motors soon to join.” It wasn’t immediately clear if the existing users having apps like BigBasket, 1mg, and Air India should uninstall them and set up the super app or the existing apps would routinely combine into the brand new app.
He further mentioned, “Tata group launches super app Tata Neuis an exciting platform that gathers all our brands into one highly effective app. Combining our traditional consumer-first approach with the modern ethos of technology, it’s an all-new technique to uncover the fantastic world of Tata.” As the Tata Neu app goes live today, Chandrasekaran said, “It makes me proud to see so a lot of our trusted and loved brands Air Asia, BigBasket, Croma, IHCL, Qmin, Starbucks, Tata 1Mg, Tata CLiQ, Tata Play, Westside on the Tata Neu platform already, and Vistara, Air India, Titan, Tanishq, Tata Motors soon to affix.” It wasn’t instantly clear if the prevailing customers having apps like BigBasket, 1mg, and Air India should uninstall them and set up the super app or the prevailing apps would routinely combine into the brand new app.
